Talon Precision, a recently launched company dedicated to building the nation’s premier precision manufacturing business, today announced the acquisition of ADEM, LLC (Advanced Design, Engineering & Manufacturing), a precision machining and engineering firm based in Santa Clara, CA. The transaction was completed on October 8. Following the close, ADEM, LLC will operate as ADEM Precision LLC.
The acquisition extends Talon Precision’s platform to the West Coast and deepens its position in the semiconductor equipment supply chain, where accuracy and quality are paramount.
“Our partnership with ADEM reflects our commitment to producing components for some of the world’s most demanding and high-tech applications, including where innovation happens here in Silicon Valley,” said Jesse Reising, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Talon Precision.
Founded in 1997, ADEM operates a 30,000 square foot facility in the heart of Silicon Valley and has built its reputation on turnkey solutions that span concept design, detailed engineering, prototyping, machining, assembly, and volume production. The company machines to tolerances of ±.0001″ across aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, exotic alloys, and engineered plastics, and serves the semiconductor equipment, robotic automation, aerospace, defense, scientific instrument, medical, and energy markets.
“ADEM was built on the idea that engineering and manufacturing belong under one roof. In Talon Precision we found a partner that understands what that takes and intends to invest behind it, and we’re confident our customers and our people are in good hands for the long term,” said Boris Kesil, who founded ADEM in 1997.
ADEM’s equipment base includes 40 CNC machine tools, among them five-axis machining centers, horizontal machining cells with automated pallet systems, multi-axis lathes, and wire EDM — a combination that supports both fast-turn prototype work and repeatable production volumes. Unlike a traditional job shop, ADEM pairs that capacity with in-house engineering that works alongside customers’ own engineering teams on design for manufacturability, custom fixturing, and automated assembly tooling.
“ADEM has spent nearly three decades earning a reputation for solving the problems other shops turn down, and that’s the foundation we’re building on. The opportunity now is to scale it: more capacity, faster turns, and engineering that gets involved earlier in our customers’ design cycles. We have the backing to do that properly, and we intend to,” said James Pradun, incoming President of ADEM.
