Backup and recovery systems were designed around human review. Protection status, coverage history, and point-in-time records are surfaced for an administrator to inspect on demand. When an incident happens, and the first question is whether a backup ran and what it covered, the answer requires a detour: log into a separate product, navigate to the right screen, manually find the record. For teams running automated deployments, AI-assisted bulk changes, and scripts touching thousands of records at a time, that detour is a gap at exactly the moment they cannot afford one.
Compliance and legal teams hit the same wall from a different direction. A SOC 2 audit, an internal investigation, or a review after a bulk change gone wrong asks a specific question: what did this Jira issue or Confluence page say on a given date? The Rewind Intelligence Engine gives teams two ways into the same backup data. The Public API is key-authenticated: pull backup health, history, and audit logs into existing monitoring tools, runbooks, and SIEM platforms, and trigger on-demand backups or account-level restores from any script or workflow. The MCP server connects the same data to any MCP-compatible AI client, so teams can ask about backup status in plain English, run a pre-flight check before high-stakes bulk changes, and read point-in-time versions of Jira issues and Confluence pages, including content that has since been changed or deleted.
