Inside Boulder Valley Church’s Summer Sermon Series on Romans 8

This summer, Boulder Valley Christian Church is offering something a little different on Sunday mornings. Rather than moving quickly through the Bible, the church is slowing down, zeroing in on a single chapter, and spending the entire season unpacking it verse by verse. The chapter is Romans 8, one of the most powerful sections in the entire Bible. It’s a series we are calling, “More Than Conquerors.”

A Summer Sermon Series for Everyone

Whether you are familiar with the Bible or just getting started, this series is for you. Pastor Matt Carlson shared a simple invitation: come and join us this summer at Boulder Valley Christian Church.

One Chapter, One Verse at a Time

Rather than a fast overview, each Sunday sermon will work through Romans 8 at a deliberate pace, giving the congregation time to absorb and apply what the text actually says.

Multiple Voices, Multiple Perspectives

The series will also feature guest speakers from different backgrounds and life experiences, each bringing their own story to the text. That variety is intentional.

A Closer Look at Romans 8

Romans 8 covers some of the most foundational ideas in Christian faith, including life in the Spirit, freedom from condemnation, and the assurance that nothing can separate a person from the love of God.

“The Bible is this big, deep book that is for so many people overwhelming and confusing,” said Pastor Matt Carlson, Lead Pastor. “This summer at Boulder Valley Christian Church, we are going to dive into the Bible, just one chapter, maybe one of the most powerful chapters in all of the Bible, Romans chapter 8. We’re going to go one verse at a time and have people with different perspectives, different narratives, and different stories come and share.”
