Singapore Medtech Startup Raises US$1M to Shift Healthcare from Reactive to Proactive

SINGAPORE – PROTOCOL (protocolhealth.sg), a medtech company dedicated to making preventive and chronic care proactive, personal, and grounded in real clinical data, has announced the successful close of US$1 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by DSG Consumer Partners, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners. The capital will be directed toward expanding PROTOCOL’s clinical and operations team, accelerating development of its proprietary health analytics platform, and scaling customer acquisition throughout Singapore.
Singapore presents a striking healthcare paradox: despite ranking among the world’s longest-lived populations, the country’s healthy life expectancy trails total lifespan by nearly a decade. One in three residents already lives with hypertension or hyperlipidaemia, and chronic disease prevalence is expected to continue rising as the population ages. The central challenge Singapore now faces is not simply adding years to life, but ensuring those years are lived in good health.
Despite meaningful advances in diagnostics and treatment, the vast majority of healthcare delivery remains reactive. Most patients engage with the system only after symptoms emerge, at which point conditions are frequently more difficult and more costly to manage. Preventive care does exist, but it remains deeply fragmented – bloodwork from one provider, prescriptions from another, and lifestyle guidance from a third. No single entity owns the longitudinal health relationship with the patient.
PROTOCOL was built to address that gap directly. By combining comprehensive screening, prescription therapies, and personalised coaching into one integrated care model, the company delivers a continuous, data-driven health relationship rather than isolated episodes of care.

Every service feeds into PROTOCOL’s proprietary health dashboard, currently in beta, which gives members real-time visibility into their bloodwork results, trends, and clinical recommendations.
